MATLAB: Error in storing values

I have a code in which i process two images
for xx = 1:length(dirlist(1:2))
      x = imread([pathname, dirlist(xx).name]);  
x=rgb2gray(x);
.
.
.
.
.
.
PSNR =   20 * log10 (255 / sqrt(S));
    PSNR(:,xx)=PSNR 
end
i have calculated PSNR for two images i get different values of PSN for each image,but wen i concatanate 2 values of PSNR i get same value ,please help
for ex wen i process
PSNR =
     38.8500
PSNR =
     39.8618
PSNR =
     39.8618   39.8618
please help

Don't use the same variable below, use a different variable.

      PSNR =   20 * log10 (255 / sqrt(S));
      PSNRS(xx) =PSNR;

The best thing would be to subtract first and do MAT2CELL second:

for xx = 1:length(dirlist(1))
x = imread([pathname, dirlist(xx).name]);  
x=rgb2gray(x);
C=imresize(x,[256 256]);
end
for xx = 1:length(dirlist)
x = imread([pathname, dirlist(xx).name]);  
x=rgb2gray(x);
C1=imresize(x,[256 256]);
end
D=mat2cell(C-C1,[128,128],[128,128]);

Alternatively, you can use CELLFUN:

D=cellfun(@(a,b) a-b, C1, C2, 'uni',0);

MATLAB: Import an easy file

In this code:

[FileName,PathName] = uigetfile('../*.csv','MultiSelect','off','title','path');

FileName is simply the name of the file you selected. So if the file is not located in the present working directory, fopen will not be able to read it. So it will return an fid of -1, which is an invalid file 'pointer'.

What you need is to supply the full path of the file to fopen. So doing this:

fid = fopen(fullfile(PathName,FileName));

will return a valid file 'pointer'.
