MATLAB: Error in imshow

imshow

I get the following error when i tried to used imshow.

Previously it was working. I tried with other system its working. I tried with different images too. but only with my system it shows this error.

 A = imread('rone.bmp');
 figure;
 imshow(A)
??? Attempt to call constructor image with incorrect letter case.
    Error in ==> basicImageDisplay at 9
     hh = image(xdata,ydata,cdata, ...
     Error in ==> imshow at 246
     hh = basicImageDisplay(fig_handle,ax_handle,...

can i know is there a problem with matlab?? Do i need to reinstall?

Thanks for the answers. But it was may be some corrupted files problem. I have re-installed matlab and everything is working fine now.

MATLAB: Strange problem with “imread” function

In the second case the code is:

image = imread(img);
...
I = imread(image);

This means, that image is the imported image already and using it as input for another imread call must fail with the shown error message.

You can find such problems easily using the debugger. See Doc: Debugger. Set a breakpoint in the failing line. Alternatively let Matlab stop automatically when the error occurs. Type this in the command window:

dbstop if error

Then let the code run again. When it stops, check the values of the variables:

class(image)

You will see, that it is not an appropriate input for imread, exactly as the error message tells already.
