MATLAB: Draw a line

I'm new to Matlab, I wanna draw a simple line x=4, or y=9. Someone kindly help me?

line([4 4],[0 10],'color','b') % Blue line from (4,0) to (4,10)
line([0 10],[9 9],'color','r') % Red line from (0,9) to (10,9)
axis([0 10 0 10]) % Set the axis limits

You can do the same thing with the PLOT command.

You were so close:

figure
scatter([0 10 20 30 40],[3 5 3 2 9]);
hold on
plot([0 40],[15 15],'-', 'Color','r')

If you really wanted to use line(), you can do so, but you need to set its colour after it's been created:

figure
scatter([0 10 20 30 40],[3 5 3 2 9]);
hold on
h = line([0 40],[15 15])
set(h,'Color','r')

if you check the documentation for plot() it gives good examples of what you can do

ids=[1;2;3;4;5;6;7;8;9;10];
dx=[0.1;0.2;0.3;0.4;0.5;0.6;0.7;0.8;0.9;0.10];
dy=[0.01;0.02;0.03;0.04;0.05;0.06;0.07;0.08;0.09;0.10];
dz=[1;2;3;4;5;6;7;8;9;10];
figure;
plot(ids,dx,'b',ids,dy,'r',ids,dz,'k')
