MATLAB: Does Windows crash with a blue screen when I exit MATLAB 7.0 (R14)

I just installed MATLAB 7.0 (R14) on my Windows machine. It starts and functions correctly, but when I exit MATLAB, Windows shows a blue screen and I have to restart my computer. The blue screen has a message about an ati2dvag.dll library. My graphics adapter information is as follows:
