MATLAB: Does the SimBiology model give different results if I save it to an SBML file and load it back in Simbiology 2.2 (R2007b)

SimBiology

I have created a SimBiology model and the results of the simulation vary significantly if I simply save the model as an SBML file and then reload and simulate again. I have noticed that some of the parameter values are slightly different in the imported SBML model but it still does not explain the drastic differences in the results.

This particular problem could be caused by the fact that SBML models do not support the concept of inactive reactions, which means that reactions that were marked inactive in an original model would be marked as active when the SBML model is imported.
As a workaround you can save the model as a project rather than an SBML file as Simbiology projects do save the state of inactive reactions.
