MATLAB: Does the name of the file get truncated if it exceeds 8 characters while writing a file to the target machine using xPC Target 4.1 (R2009a)

I am trying to write data to a file on the target machine from my model using the 'xPC Scope' block in xPC Target 4.1 (R2009a).

However, I observe that the name of the file written on the target machine gets truncated if the original name exceeds 8 characters.

This change has been incorporated into the documentation in Release 2010a (R2010a). For previous releases, read below for any additional information:

This is an expected behavior while trying to write files to the target machine using xPC Target 4.1 (R2009a) since it is a characteristic feature of the xPC target kernel.
