MATLAB: Does the ‘help’ documentation for M2XDATE refer to itself

If I type 'help m2xdate' in the MATLAB Command Prompt, the last few lines state, "See Also m2xdate". It should refer to X2MDATE instead of M2XDATE.

This is an error within the documentation for the Financial Toolbox within the documentation for M2XDATE. The documentation at the bottom should read as follows:

 See Also    datenum, datestr, x2mdate

You need to cast ‘w’ as double before you do the calculations. You can recast it as whatever it was previously to save it later.

The easiest way might be:

w=imread('win.png');%its a 32X32 picture

wrr = double(w);
for i=1:32
    for j=1:32
    wrr(i,j)=wrr(i,j)*.02;
    end
end
disp('wrr');
disp(wrr);

That preserves the original ‘w’ if you want to do that.

However the easiest way to do what you want is simply:

w=imread('win.png');%its a 32X32 picture
wrr = double(w) * 0.02;

MATLAB: Can the program add code to itself

You can use fgetl() and fprintf() to write text to the m-file, as long as MATLAB doesn't have the m-file locked, which I don't think it does. I also agree with Stephen about that not being a wise approach, especially when better approaches are available.
