MATLAB: Do you know which Simulink block this is

simulinksimulink blockunrecognizable

I can't find this block in the Simulink Library Browser and I don't know the name. I have seen it in various papers. Does any one recognize it?

This is the memory block you can find it in the discrete library. This block applies a one integration step delay. The output is the previous input value.

will give you the type of logic gate. The extra quotes alongwith the concatenation are probably unnecessary.

Use

get( get_param( gate{1}, 'Object'))

to get the entire properties structure. The fieldnames are the properties e.g. 'Operator'

Without seeing the image (which people usually do when asking for image processing advice), I'd say that if the variance is zero, you have a completely uniform image.
