When launching toolboxes and using Redundant Servers, why do I see License Manager Error -5?

This can occur when either the environment variable is configured incorrectly. When the license search path contains one of the three servers of the triad instead of all three, MATLAB will start successfully. However, whenever a toolbox is checked out a License Manager Error -5 is received.
To resolve this, correct the environment variable to include every server in the triad.
