When I right click on my block which is linked to DOORS requirements I get errors which refer to another installation of MATLAB that is used.

This is related to the fact that DOORS starts the wrong MATLAB in automation mode.

To register the right MATLAB version to be started in automation mode you can use:

 matlab /regserver

This error may result from having more than one version of MATLAB installed on your system. To resolve this issue, close MATLAB and perform the following steps:

1. Open a DOS command prompt and enter the following command:

 path

In the path listing, note the presence of multiple "MATLABxx\bin\win32" directories.

2. For each of the MATLAB directories listed in your path, go to the "win32" subdirectory and enter the following command at the DOS prompt:

 matlab /unregserver

Close the small MATLAB command window that subsequently appears in the corner of your screen each time you issue the preceding command.

Now you will be able to navigate successfully from a requirements document to Simulink.

This error message indicates that the COM AutomationServer in MATLAB is not running. When you restart MATLAB, the COM AutomationServer is NOT running by default. This is expected behavior.

The COM AutomationServer is automatically started after performing model/DOORS synchronization, that is why it works until MATLAB is restarted.

Rather than resynchronizing, you can use the following MATLAB function to start the COM AutomationServer:

>> enableservice('AutomationServer', true)
