Why do I receive the following error message when trying to link my MathWorks Account to my license:
The license number or activation key did not match any existing license number or activation key. Please try again.

This error will occur when you try to link your MathWorks Account to a license that is no longer active, please try to activate with a current MATLAB license.
License Manager Error -7 is caused by running a new release of MATLAB using a network license that has not had the network license manager updated yet. A license administrator will need to update the license manager running on the designated license server to resolve this issue. This issue is a bug in FlexNet and has been filed with Flexera, the makers of FlexNet. The only workaround is to restart the network license manager when using Network Named User licenses.
