When I try to use the Machine Measurement Demux block in SimPowerSystems 3.0 (R13SP1) I always receive a warning
Your model has no measurement block
and sometimes receive an error
Invalid setting for input port dimensions of Demux block 'big_motor_gen_2/Machines Measurement Demux/Demux'. The dimensions are being set to 11. This is not valid because the input has fewer elements than the total number of output ports of this block

This enhancement has been incorporated in Release 14 Service Pack 3 (R14SP3). For previous product releases, read below for any possible workarounds:
Prior to the R14SP2+ web release, you are required to have at least one of the following measurement blocks in your model when you use a Machine Measurement Demux:
Voltage Measurement
Current Measurement
Multimeter block
It is not sufficient to only have the Machine Measurement Demux block in your model.
Starting with R14SP2+ release, it is no longer required to have at least one measurement block in your SimPowerSystems diagram. This means, for example, that it is now possible to have a model with just a machine measurement demux block as a measurement device.
