MATLAB: Do I receive a License Error during automatic activation for a different end user

MATLAB

When installing MATLAB for another user I selected the "automatic (with Internet)" method. I have completed the installation and have submitted the information for the final end user. When I click "Activate" I receive an error message:
There was an error setting the permissions to allow (<username>) to update the license file.

This bug has been fixed in Release 2010a (R2010a). For previous product releases, read below for any possible workarounds:
This message indicates that Windows failed to set the correct user permissions on the downloaded license file. This usually indicates that the username you specified does not exist on this system.
Double-check the validity of the username specified. If necessary, click "Back" to change it. If the username is correct but you cannot proceed, cancel the automatic activation and follow the manual activation instructions in the Related Solution listed below.
