MATLAB: Do I get an error while installing Windows SDK 7.1 as compiler for MATLAB (R2013a)
MATLAB
When I tried installing SDK 7.1 on Windows 7, it keeps failing, and the error log prints the following message:
Cannot create a file when that file already exists.

This is Microsoft's bug, there are several causes that can lead to this error.
1. You may have multiple SDK versions available on his machine, in that case, uninstall other versions of SDK and try reinstalling SDK 7.1.
2. You may have a newer version of Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable installed. In that case, remove the redistribution and try reinstalling SDK 7.1. Please refer to the following solution provided by Microsoft:
The "Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows 7 and .NET Framework 4" does NOT install the required 64-bit cl.exe compiler version 2008, instead it will install the 2010 version; this compiler version is not supported by MATLAB 7.10 (R2010a).
If you want to install a 7.x version of the SDK, please choose the "Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows 7 and .NET Framework 3.5 SP1" (version 7.0).
