MATLAB: Division of array into subarrays depending on the threshold value

Hello,

I want to divide a array of signal into sub arrays such that each sub array contains values greater than the threshold(let say 0.08 for each case) untill it encounters again an increment from the threshold.

The subarray should contain the values in between the two thresholds as shown in the figure

can someone explain of how to do it.

In your duplicate thread, I explained how to do it. Threshold

nonZeroElements = signal > 0;

Then use diff to look for where the hump starts and stops.

Don't use bwtraceboundary() - it's almost never necessary. I think you're making this way way too complicated. Just scan down the left and right columns to find the line, then find the first and last point on the row where it's white. First convert the image to binary.

rightColumn = binaryImage(:, end); % Get right column
topLine = find(rightColumn, 1, 'first'); % Find row where line is

oneRow = binaryImage(topLine-1, :);
% Find first and last places - the bone edges

leftEdge1 = find(oneRow, 1, 'first');
