MATLAB: Did the MATLAB activation client timeout

I was performing an activation for my professional license and had to step away from the computer for a few minutes. After returning to the computer and attempting to proceed with the activation, I was told that my activation client had timed out.

If your MATLAB activation client times out and you are unable to proceed any further, please exit the current instance of the activation and restart the process.

You can do so by launching MATLAB, which will automatically prompt you to activate the software.
