I am doing a project on steganography . I have been asked to calculate the correlation between stego image and real image . plz someone can help me with the code of correlation ,,, plz .

Well I'm no stego expert but I thought usually they would use psnr or ssim to compare the concealing image and the original cover image, or the original message image and the recovered/retrieved hidden image. Both of those functions are built in to the Image Processing Toolbox.

Try this:

M = corrcoef(DATA);
imagesc(M)

Colors would show you correlations between all pairs from the set of 180 weather stations. To more detailed view you could invoke imagesc() like that

imagesc(log2(abs(M))

To manipulate colors you can also change color map

colormap(flipud(gray))

NOTICE: DATA is matrix which each column is a vector of observations from a single station, so

>> size(DATA)

should give answer

ans =
360     180
