MATLAB: Configuring Antivirus for Polyspace

I am presently experiencing an issue where Polyspace executes slowly as the result of antivirus and Java using a large percentage of the CPU.

Are there any particular changes that I can make to the configuration of my antivirus, which might alleviate this issue?

On a Windows machine, it is recommended that the following Polyspace-specific files be marked as "trusted" by antivirus:

<matlab>\polyspace\bin\*.exe

<matlab>\bin\win64\ps_*.exe

Additionally, the following non-Polyspace-specific files may also facilitate improved performance Polyspace:

jxbrowser-chromium.exe

perl.exe

This issue can occur if the installer is not run with appropriate permissions and cannot install some of the PolySpace components. For example, the PolySpace Common files may have installed, but not the PolySpace for C/C++ or PolySpace for Ada (etc.).

Check the installation folders for each component and log files to see whether or not each component successfully installed.

Our installation guide for PolySpace states that installation requires administrator rights.

You can do this as follows:

"%MATLAB%\polyspace\bin\polyspace-report-generator.exe" -results-dir Results_SQO -template "%MATLAB%\toolbox\polyspace\psrptgen\templates\metrics\SoftwareQualityObjectives_Summary.rpt" -format PDF

The first command *polyspace-results-repository *(after the set) is downloading the results 1.1 from the project Code_Prover_Example into the results folder Results_SQO.

The next command polyspace-report-generator is launching the report generation using the template SoftwareQualityObjectives_Summary.rpt _in PDF format for the results in the results folder _Results_SQO.

The SQO level will be the one set in Polyspace Metrics.
