hello i wanna know if we can command any software from matlab. suppose, i open a software which edits text files, can i open it, add some text into it. thank you!

If you are using MS Windows, you can use activex() to open a dialog with an editor.
wavread() the audio file. sound() the contents of it to send the signal to the built-in audio. If there is a speaker or headphones jack on the system, the analog signal can be pulled off of that.
You can usewavread to read in your wave file and then useaudioplayer to play it. Or if you have the downsampled music already in a variable, you can directly pass it to audioplayer. See the following documentation and there is an example
