MATLAB: Color the specific simulink block

changing the color of the particular simulink block

How can i change the color of the particular simulink block from the matlab command window?

I have first loaded the system load_system('testmodel')

'testmodel\input1' is my inport1 name.

now i need to change the inport1 to color green?

is it possible to do it?

You can enter

>> blockName = 'testModel/input1';
>> set_param(blockName,'BackgroundColor','green');

By the way, you could use other commands such as gcb or find_system (look them up!) to figure out block names.

find_system(gcs, 'SearchDepth', 1, 'BlockType', 'Inport', 'Port', num2str(length(find_system(gcs, 'SearchDepth', 1, 'BlockType', 'Inport'))))

where gcs is the subsystem handle you want to search.

You can use the find_system function to search.

To get all the blocks at your current hierarchy level, for example, you can use the command

blocks = find_system(gcs,'type','block')

Then, each element of the output, e.g., blocks{1}, would replace gcb in your existing code.

Take a look at the find_system documentation. You can do much more complex searches this way!
