MATLAB: Changing width for certain columns in a uitable

in uitable, do all columns have to have the same width?

I have a table, and I would like certain columns to be wider than others, but when I use

set(t(:,1),'ColumnWidth',{150});

all columns are of the same size.

and when I use :

set(t(:,1),'ColumnWidth',{150});
set(t(:,2),'ColumnWidth',{50});

This gives me an error:"Index exceeds matrix dimensions. "

Any idea?

Yes, it can be a cell array with numbers and 'auto' interleaved.

Looks like you need to index into a cell for your example:

t.ColumnWidth{1} = 20

Note the curly {} for indexing into the cell.

The only way to affect the row height, as Yair explains here (msg 5/6), is to reprogram the resizing callback.

On the other side, adjusting the fontsize automatically adjusts the row heigth.
