MATLAB: Can the student version of MATLAB be used during the master reseach

MATLABmatlab usagestudent license

Hello everyone,
I'm a master student in the field of electrical engineering. As my university doesn't hold a academic license for MATLAB, I'm thinking in buy a student license to use on my master research. I would like to know if there is any limitation about this kind of usage, for example, would it be ilegal to use MATLAB to do the research related and mandatory to get my master degree? How about use data and pictures from an user interface generated from it in papers?
Thanks in advance for the assistance. Moises

"would it be ilegal to use MATLAB to do the research related and mandatory to get my master degree"
No, that is perfectly fine under the Student license.
Now, sometimes Masters and PhD students get assigned to do someone else's research, being used as cheap labour to advance other people's work. A MATLAB student license cannot be used for that: you can use it for your own research for the purposes of your degree, but you cannot use it for someone else's research even if doing that research is a requirement of grants or bursaries or scholarships or part-time jobs.
"How about use data and pictures from an user interface generated from it in papers"
That is fine. Note, though, that some outputs of MATLAB Student license (such as Report Generator) are given a big "Student" watermark.
