MATLAB: Can I use an academic license for personal projects

Hello, I am a university student with an academic license for MatLab included as part of my course.
My question is, am I able to use MatLab with this license to help with a personal project of mine (simply involves plotting 3d graphs)?
This project would not be used for any financial gain, so I am uncertain as to whether I can use this license in this way.
If you could let me know if this would break the license agreement or not, that would be much appreciated.

Officially, No, that is contrary to the license agreement.
However, if you have any courses that include a goal of "learning MATLAB" then time spent learning how to produce those graphs in MATLAB is plausibly permitted.
