MATLAB: Can I access Google using urlread

Question

Why can I query some urls using urlread e.g.

[s,status]=urlread('http://ichart.finance.yahoo.com/table.csv?s=IBM&a=00&b=01&c=2011&d=02&e=30&f=2011&g=d&ignore=.csv');

But not Google e.g.

[s,status]=urlread('http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=pig&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&oq=');

Must I use the Google API?
