MATLAB: Are carriage returns gone when copying and pasting from diagnostic viewer

simulink

Why are carriage returns gone when copying and pasting from diagnostic viewer?
For example, I select the following message in Diagnostic Viewer and hit Ctrl + C.
### Starting build procedure for model: mymodel
### Build procedure for model: 'mymodel' aborted due to an error.
Then, I go to Outlook email and hit Ctrl + V. The message becomes the following:
### Starting build procedure for model: mymodel ### Build procedure for model: 'mymodel' aborted due to an error.

Best Answer

To ensure the carriage return is copied,
1) Select the text and right click. Then, select "Copy" from the context menu.
2) There is an option to copy at the toolbar for Diagnsotic Viewer.
Using either of the methods, the carriage returns are preserved when the text is pasted in Outlook.
