MATLAB: Am I unable to launch the Download Agent using Google Chrome in Mac OS 10.7x or 10.8x

Question

When trying to download MATLAB using the Download Agent nothing happens after I click Download. I also tried clicking "Launch Agent Directly" and still nothing happens.

This is due to an incompatibility between Google Chrome and the Java Dowload Agent. The Download Agent is a 64-bit applet whereas Google Chrome is a 32-bit Web Browser. In order to use the Download Agent you will need to use a different browser that is 64-bit (ie- Safari, Firefox, etc.).
