This has been fixed in the Commuications Toolbox 2.1 (R13).
If you have an earlier version of the Communications Toolbox, please see the following:
This appears to be a bug in the old RSENCO function. It does not convert the Binary format correctly, and thus gives the wrong answer.
RSENCO is an obsolete function, and cannot be fixed. The old Reed-Solomon functions have been replaced with new, non-buggy and easier to use functions. With the new functions, there is only one format, so there is no possibility for confusion between formats.
