MATLAB: Am I getting Callback function errors related to a “Second Order Filter” block

I am editing a file that was previously working. When I go to save the file, I get the following error:

Error evaluating 'PreSaveFnc' callback of Second-Order Filter block (mask)
Undefined function 'ssc_private' for input arguments of type 'char'

Why am I getting these errors?

This issue can caused by a corrupted MATLAB file. A clean reinstall should fix the issue; see the following MATLAB Answers post for further details:

We have verified that querying a subsystem's LinkStatus within a callback function of a block leads to an error message in Simulink 6.0 (R14).
