MATLAB: Adding help documentation (pdf) to standalone MatLab GUI

Question

I am developing a GUI where user can click on menu option so that it will open pdf file from system default application like adobe reader or other pdf reader. I tried using system('open'help.pdf') in menu callback function, which works only when running code from MatLab, before I compile for standalone executables. and also I want to know other methods to add help documentation to stand alone GUI?

Kushal - are you saying that the

 system('open'help.pdf')

doesn't work when running the standalone application? Check http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/168676-xlsread-returns-an-error-when-used-in-a-standalone-app which might provide some hints on how to solve the problem.
