I for the life of me, can't find a way to connect a capacitor in the simscape simulink block? Does anyone know how to do this?
Any help will really be appreciated!

You cannot combine blocks from the Simscape Electrical toolbox with the blocks under 'Specialized Power Systems'. One should reside to the regular Simscape Electrical blocks, or stay within 'Specialized Power Systems'. You could for example use the 'RLC Branch' and enter a C-value only to implement a capacitor in 'Specialized Power Systems'.
I personally avoid using 'Specialized Power Systems' altogether since the Simscape Electrical library integrates well with other Simscape components and domains. Reasons why anyone would still use 'Specialized Power Systems' in my opinion are:
you are simulating only in this domain
you need a very specific block in this library
you have a legacy simulation model still using this domain
Notice how the block has a "Series resistance" parameter? It means you can configure the block to have a resistor in series.
The "Voltage" initial condition accounts for the initial voltage of resistor + capacitor, whereas "Capacitor voltage" does the capacitor alone. Up to you which one you want to use, so long as they both don't conflict each other.
On this site there are further links to this topic, also some where is explained how to do this. A further interesting source for informations are the videos/webinars which appear, when search term issimscape language:
