MATLAB: A problem using the roots function

hello… I couldn't use the roots function…does anyone have an idea what the problem is?

Yes, you have another file named roots.m at the location shown in the error message. Matlab thinks you are trying to execute that one.

You can just use

imag( myVector )

to get the imaginary part as a standard non-complex double and then do your maths on that, as though it where the imaginary component.

According to the error message, you have a script on your path also named ‘roots’. The solution is to change the name of your script.
