MATLAB: 3d image visulalisation

I had set of 2d slices of 3d images. I combine them into array of size 1024*512*128. I have tried to visualize the 3d image using viewer3d and some other tools but without any success.

Try something like this

[rows, columns, numberOfSlices] = size(image3d);
for slice = 1 : numberOfSlices
    thisSlice = image3d(:,:, slice);
    baseFileName = sprintf('Slice %d.png', slice);
    fullFileName = fullfile(folder, baseFileName);
    imwrite(thisSlice, fullFileName);
end

To get them back, use imread(). To tack onto a 3D image, use cat(3, image3d, thisSlice).

How are you planning to display the constructed series? The animation tools usually use (X, Y, [RGB], Time] so you might find yourself better off constructing a 4D array in which the 3rd dimension is size 1 (one color plane)
