I'm looking for advice on how to organize data that describes traffic flows through several unconnected intersections over several years. I'd like to learn about the most basic representation of this data, that would lend itself to future more complex analysis. In this case the traffic flow is of bicycles, so the numbers are quite low.
I read through this question and all the answers. glennon provided several useful links in his answer, but I think it that such an approach is more sophisticated than required here.
I'm also interested in compelling ways of showing these flows over time and would appreciate any suggestions.
