[GIS] TomTom OpenLayers zoom effects

This site has excellent resizing (and drifting) animations.

Anybody know how the zoom effect is achieved? OpenLayers has an ancient sandbox with animated zooming, but it was never integrated.

Set the property to transitionEffect: 'resize'

You can apply a new theme for controls simply by giving it the right url, like so :

OpenLayers.ImgPath = "http://js.mapbox.com/theme/dark/";

From what I know, the GoogleMap style like doesn't exist yet so you will have to design it.

I made it work! Had to add :

resolutions: [4891.969809,2445.984905,1222.992452,611.4962262,305.7481131,152.8740565]

and to add to z+4 to get to right zoom level.

I used this site http://simonmercier.net/blog/?p=88 to get the right resolutions to use.
