I just downloaded QGIS 3.0 on Mac OS X but I could not find TIN interpolation plugin in the Search & manage plugin. Is there something wrong with the Mac version of QGIS 3?

The Interpolation plugin generates surfaces in ArcInfo ASCII grid format (. asc) but it offers no way to visualize the results in 3D or to process the 3d shapefiles (PointZ,..)

But build a plugin seems a priori to me very complex and time consuming:
- plot 3 d points is easy.
- but in all other cases, all the scenarios (3D shapefile points, lines or polygons, shapefile with z attribute, interpolation algorithm, ...) should be considered before.
- You need Python modules that are not present by default in QGIS (like Shapely, Scipy or Visvis)
The interpolation tools are located under the Processing toolbox, if you write interpolation in the search box you will find all the interpolation tools:

According to the changelog, the TIN interpolation plugin has been removed, as it is now part or QGIS core.
To find it in Qgis 3.0, open the processing toolbox and search for Interpolation -> TIN interpolation.
