[GIS] Sorting/unsorting fields displayed in Identify window of ArcMap

I'm using ArcMap 10.1, and upon bringing in a feature class, the identify tool window shows the attributes in alphabetical order of the field headings.

I didn't try to do this and haven't touched any settings.

Is there a way to make them display once again in the order that they were created (as they still are in the att table)?

Try right clicking the "Field" column header and un-check 'Sort Fields' if it's checked.

No it is not possible to add "Folder Connections" using Arcpy.

Folder Connections are stored in the ArcCatalog.gx file, which is typically located at

 c:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\ESRI\*Desktopverion*\ArcCatalog\ArcCatalog.gx

This is a binary file, so forget about editing it.

The only thing you could possibly do is to create the Folder Connections you want on one PC, copy the ArcCatalog.gx file to a common location, and then have your script replace the local PC copy of ArcCatalog.gx file with the common one.

ArcMap – Identify Results Window Not Displaying in ArcGIS 10.5

If you moved your Identify window onto another monitor when you had multiple monitors attached and then switched to single monitor, you will find that Identify window is still in the same location on the other monitor!

Two ways to fix this:

Connect another monitor, find and move your Identify window back into the ArcMap screen then disconnect second monitor
Sometimes the window moves so that you can see a very small portion of it on the edge of your active monitor. Look closely at the edge of your screen to see if there is just the border of the window there. If so you may be able to grab it (even enough just to resize it a bit) and then drag the window into your main screen.

Once it is where you want it, close and reopen ArcMap to have it save the window location.
