In earlier version we could install the PostGIS using the Stack Builder but now it is not showing the option of spatial extension. Can anyone help me install it?
Installers are available for 9.6 64/32-bit on stackbuilder [...]
Installers for PostgreSQL 10 64-bit are
available on experimental, and osgeo downloads and will be available
shortly on EDB appliction stack builder
--> it's not yet available in Stack Builder.
You can install Postrgres first, then download and install PostGIS
By doing CREATE EXTENSION postgis; you're trying to initialize from PostgreSQL with the new loading mechanism a PostGIS version (1.5) that do not support it and in this case, you will need to follow the PostGIS 1.5 official doc
When I look in the repository (http://apt.postgresql.org/pub/repos/apt/ precise-pgdg main), I see you can get different PostGIS versions for different PostgreSQL versions, so sudo apt-get install postgis is not enough clear for the package manager
nJGL yah sorry the folks that manage the Stackbuilder stuff are on vacation I was told. So issue is still there. I did upload the exes to Stackbuilder so as soon as the issue is fixed they would show up there.
The stackbuilder will just give you the same installer files you'll find here.
I haven't packaged pg10 32-bit since I'm having issue with the pointcloud build, hopefully you don't need that. If you need the 32-bit just use the binaries.
