[GIS] How to use GDAL in java classes with Eclipse

I want to use GDAL in java classes with Eclipse.

I had gdal.jar to the build path but it does not work ("Native library load failed.
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no gdaljni in java.library.path").

I try to add libraries (gdalconstjni.dll + gdaljni.dll + ogrjni.dll + osrjni.dll) and to modify environment variables (as some tutorials advocated) but without success.

What should I do to use GDAL in my java classes with Eclipse?

It was a 32/64 bits system issue. Here is the link to download usefull libraries : http://download.gisinternals.com/release.php

I think you could use the experimental OGR plugin to do this in GeoTools.

Try adding

<dependency>
  <groupId>org.geotools</groupId>
  <artifactId>gt-ogr</artifactId>
  <version>${geotools.version}</version>
</dependency>

to your pom.xml - I've not tried but I expect it will pull down all the stuff you need.

Read the "Running something" section of http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/wiki/GdalOgrInJavaBuildInstructionsUnix, and particularly :

"To deploy you need gdal.jar in your class path, the 4 .so files (libgdalconstjni.so, libgdaljni.so, libogrjni.so and libosrjni.so) and libgdal.so in your shared library path."
