I made a map based on a raster from Natural Earth web site with some vector layers with the Qgis software.
When I compose this map I cannot get the right size: there are too big or to small as you can see in the photos. I tried to change all the setting in the composer, but does not work.
Can anywhere, please, can explain how to crop the frame in the composer so I can get rid of the white border?
an update to this. As of QGIS 2.18 at least, I noticed there's now an option to uncheck the Draw border for raster symbols in Print Composer:-
Left checked (the default), you can style the outline. Left unchecked, the outline vanishes :)
I'm not sure exactly which version introduced this, but thank you to whoever implemented this!
With select/move object tool, resize the map area to fill the A4 space, then be sure to type the right scale (1:25000) in the map properties again. If you still have white areas, you can cut them with a software like GIMP (if you export the map as jpeg).

There is Resize page to content option in Composition tab (QGIS 2.18). You can set the margins and click on the Resize page button.
