I have a strange problem.
In some of the PDF readers, the images are not visible.
In others, the images are visible but font size of the text
below the image for that page becomes really tiny.
Is it a problem with the images?

Expanding my comment into an answer:
Any raster objects in a PDF are put inside a container so they appear vectorized, since PDF is natively a vector format. So from the point of view of graphicx, the image is already vectorized, even though it's technically not, only encapsulated by a vector format.
The only way to get interpolation in a PDF would be to produce it before the PDF is produced from the raster graphic. Or simply include the original raster graphic in a raster format supported by graphicx, with appropriate compression applied if needed.
The example requires --shell-escape, ImageMagick, and a copy of example-image-a.png (from the mwe package) placed in the same directory as the example's .tex file:

For those who see this later:
It seems to be a relatively common issue where Matlab Figure > EPS file > Latex results in slightly cropped images in the final document. It appears that this is the fault of Matlab not correctly configuring the EPS bounding box when saving. In my case (Matlab R2015a), this happens whether "print" or "saveas" is used in Matlab.
I have found a solution that works for me: using the "-loose" switch on the print command. This instructs Matlab to have a "loose" bounding box which adds just the right amount of whitespace on each side. This is the exact line of code I use to save an EPS from the active figure:
print -depsc2 -loose myepsfile.eps;

If these do not solve your problem then to help folk answer your question some more pieces of information are needed such as those asked for in comments on your original question plus at least a couple more:
What format were the original images in? EPS, PDF, JPG, BMP, PNG, GIF, ...
What is your compiler sequence:
latex->dvips->epstopdf, orpdflatex?It may also be helpful to show the LaTeX/TeX/LuaTeX/... code you have used to embed or create the diagram. The ideal would be a minimal working example.
Which pdf readers are in the first group, which are in the second group?
Does the output look correct with some viewers?, which?
Is there any difference if you increase or decrease the viewer magnification?
Is a printed version wrong or correct and, in either case how was it printed and to what (some printers can print pdf files directly, others will need the file processed by software on the computer).
As to the interim answer: you will have seen from the linked questions that an unexpected appearance can be caused by a viewer (but it is not usually wrong in every viewer at even the highest magnification and also wrong when printed) or by software that has created an image or embedded it into a file or post-processed the file so the problem could be with the images, but it could be something else or a combination of factors.
