I am using the hyperref package and want to use the \autoref{} command to output the page of the referenced label (similar to \pageref{}). The label is not inside a figure, equation, etc., so by default \autoref{} creates a section x.y link, instead of a page z link that I would like.
Is there a way to do this?
This can be accomplished by defining a new version of the autoref command that will have the desired formatting. For example, in the preamble, add:
\newcommand\colorAutoref[1]{{\hypersetup{linkcolor=blue}\autoref{#1}}} %% allows for calls to \autoref{} that have a different color from other links.
Then, in the document, where you want to add your autorefs, just use:
As can be seen in \colorAutoref{fig:2} the presentation of this document is now more clear.
Instead of using \autoref, I suggest you also load the cleveref package and then assign the abbreviated labels to \cref (via a \crefname directive) and the non-abbreviated labels to \Cref (via a \Crefname directive).

Ok, I found it. There's a command named
\autopageref{}which replaces\pageref{}and does exactly what I wanted. More info here.
