How do you insert a trademark symbol in LaTeX? That is, the "TM" superscript.

Package textcomp adds symbols with TS1 encoding and provides symbol \texttrademark:

\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{textcomp}

\textsuperscript{TM} or \texttrademark
