[Tex/LaTex] Can’t find TikZ library calc

I've been googling for some time now, and can't find the manual for the TikZ library calc. All I see is people using it. Where can I find the manual or some info?

Is it the same as the LaTeX package calc? The latter doesn't seem to mention TikZ in the manual.

It is part of the manual for PGF/TikZ: Section 13.5 Coordinate Calculations. And no, it is not the same as the calc package.

The documentation is usually included with your TeX distribution, and you can access it manual by typing texdoc pgf in a command prompt/terminal and hitting enter (saves you from having to download it from CTAN). This works for any package, and you'll get the documentation matching the version of the package you have installed.

The intersections library is not included in pgf 2.0, which is the version that ships with TeXLive 2009 (which is the version of TeXLive that ships with Ubuntu up to version 10.10). As Martin suggested in the comments to the question, you can either install TeXLive 2010 directly from the website, or just update pgf to a recent version (2.10 at time of writing) as described in this answer.

Modified calc library. Working on documentation.

Added calc library and ($...$) notation for coordinates.

So you need a version of pgf/TikZ which is of this date or newer. If your version is older, you need to update it. MacTeX, which is built on TeX Live, provides the TeX Live Manager for it. Start the manager GUI, or type in a terminal window:

sudo tlmgr update pgf

to update pgf/TikZ.
