MATLAB: Do I see spaces instead of tabs when I open a MATLAB file in Microsoft Word

When I open an MATLAB file in MS Word, the tabs show up as 4 spaces instead of real tabs.

The way for enabling the tabs in MATLAB Editor to show up as tabs and not 4 spaces is to uncheck the "Tab key insert spaces" option in the Tab option of the Editor/Debugger in the MATLAB Preferences.

File->Preferences->Editor/Debugger->Tab-> uncheck the "Tab key insert spaces" check box
