MATLAB: Push Button at GUI

guipush button

Hello, I am so new at GUI stuff. I am wondering how I can have a push button that by clicking, a box opens and the user will be able to put some initial data in the box.

Try using GUIDE. Place a push button on the GUI, then right click and view the callback. It will make a function in the m-file where you can paste the code you gave.

 function pushbutton1_Callback(hObject, eventdata, handles)
% operation 1 here
 guidata(hObject, handles);

 function pushbutton2_Callback(hObject, eventdata, handles)
% operation 2 here
guidata(hObject, handles);

Operation 1 is performed only on click of pushbutton1 and Operation 2 is performed only on click of pushbutton2
