MATLAB: How to open simulink model of 2014 version in 2013a version which is installed on the laptop

I have downloaded a matlab file which is of 2014 version, but I have 2013a version installed on my laptop. Is it possible to open the file in 2013a version?

It says : "Warning: MATLAB Toolbox Path Cache is out of date and is not being used."

Should I install later version of matlab or is it possible to access the later version toolbox?

It’s better you upgrade to later version , some of the new features may not be available in the older version.
